Little James Basket Press - French white

This 50/50 blend of sauvignon blanc and Viognier grapes hails from the Languedoc region of southern France (near Montpellier!). It gives off aromas of peaches, pears, and citrus. The flavor is citrusy and slightly buttery.  International wine critic Jeb Dunnuck says it’s “a little gem of a wine…it has loads of upfront fruit and texture yet remains fresh and lively.” He gave the 2018 a score of 90 on the 100 point scale, which for a 16.99 bottle is impressive.

Pseudonimo Pet-Nat - Sparkiling White

Petulante Natural or Pet Nat for short are sparkling wines that are made by bottling the wine before it is fully fermented, with minimum intervention and no added sugar or yeast which is used in most sparkling wines. Pseudonimo is a white Pet Nat from Portugal, also dry and very refreshing. You can tell it is a Pet Nat if it has a bottle cap top instead of a cork. These are fun wines to drink and would be great for the holidays or just to sip before dinner. I really liked both of these.

Chateau De Varennes Beaujolais-Villages - French Red

This French Beaujolais-Villages is a light, dry, drinkable wine which we look forward to pairing with a beautiful turkey this holiday season. Cherry notes from the Gamay grape compliment the subtle smokiness of this red for a very enjoyable wine at a great price. An overall easy drinking wine to be shared with family and friends at your holiday table.

URBAN - German WHITE

This is a nice bright, fruity Riesling. It is a bit on the sweet side, so it would go great with dessert, or spicy Asian dishes.
-Nancy Toulis

Avoids the cloying sweetness of lesser Rieslings. Quick, clean finish. It’s like biting into a fresh nectarine.

Obaya2.jpg

Obaya Seleccion - Spanish Red

Typical of many Spanish reds, this wine has a bold peppery taste, but is softened by notes of cherry and berries. Perfect to pair with a burger or steak.
-Artie Toulis

Smooth, dry, fruity, and pleasantly light. Tremendously drinkable and an excellent value.

Due Torri2.jpg

Due Torri Pinot Noir - Italian Red

This is my go to Italian affordable wine. Always tasty, goes great with most foods and great to drink on its own. I buy it by the case, so I always have a bottle on hand.
