Join Our Team at the Maple Corner Community Store & Whammy Bar!

The Maple Corner Community Store and Whammy Bar has experienced exciting growth over the past two years, and we're gearing up for a busy summer! We're looking to hire up to four new team members to join our dedicated, hardworking staff.

While each position has a primary focus area, all team members are expected to learn and assist with various aspects of the business, including:

• Retail Work: Operating the point-of-sale system, assisting customers, stocking shelves, and processing deliveries.

• Deli/Whammy Bar Work: Food preparation, making sandwiches and pizzas, and performing a variety of cleaning, cooking and baking duties.

Some weekend shifts are required for all employees. In some cases, these positions can be combined (for instance a Store Clerk may also work Line Cook shifts and vice versa).

Open Positions:

• Line Cook (18-32 hours/week). Seeking a line cook with professional kitchen experience to work at least three Whammy shifts per week (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights and/or Sunday afternoon/evening). Will consider a skilled, creative and passionate home cook without professional experience depending on kitchen abilities. We will happily provide on the job training to the right person!

• Store Clerk - (20-35 hours/week). Store & Deli staff member responsible for operating the point-of-sale system, preparing pizza, sandwiches and lunch specials as well as handling additional cooking & cleaning duties, including deli prep and some baking.

• Seasonal Store Clerk - (12 - 20 hours/week). Minimum age to apply is 16. Ideal for high school or college students looking for summer employment, with the potential to continue during the school year if mutually agreeable. Generally, will perform all duties of a store clerk.

Minimum Requirements:

• Some customer service experience and a willingness to enhance your customer service skills.

• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.

• Ability to work on your feet for at least 6 hours at a time.

• Reading and math comprehension.

• Reliable transportation
